taking down a a Bastion of human history right here, human preservation is never a good sign and while I think the internet archive absolutely will come back, I think this alongside the copyright stuff is really putting it into a dangerous situation and that´s where I really think that as the internet archive comes back, I think that security should be the focus. I think protecting themselves legally should be the focus because at the moment not having the internet archive literally means we´ve lost the only form of Internet human preservation that has ever actually existed.”

The Internet Archive Hack gets weirder and weirder by the day. After 22 days, hackers still have access to sensitive internal systems. Archive.org has been offline for 11 days (and counting), and Internet Archive refused to respond to notifications of being hacked. All immediately following Internet Archive’s massive court loss which could destroy them as an organization. And that’s just for starters.
Something smells very, very wrong. Did the Internet Archive allow themselves to be hacked? Or… did they actually hack themselves? That’s crazy… right? It’s not as crazy as it might seem.
Let’s go through the timeline of events and look at everything logically.”

the more people who get it the better chance we have it actually saving all this stuff, makes sense. it’s like that old saying right those who can’t remember the past are doomed to repeat it, but in this case it’s more like those who can’t access the past while they’re amazing it’s this incredible tool for learning, for connecting, understanding the world, but we got to protect it, preserve it, make sure it’s still useful for well for everybody in the future well said so next time you’re you know feeling nostalgic maybe want to take a trip down memory lane with a wayback machine, take a second, appreciate the folks at the internet archive. They´re working hard to keep those digital memories alive.”
